Profile

Hello! I'm Benito, an architect based in Berlin. I studied architecture at the Technical University of Dresden and the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. After my studies, I worked in my father’s architecture firm in Thuringia, currently I’m employed at wulf architekten in Berlin. Alongside my passion for architecture, I am also an avid musician.

Vision

Since humanity began building structures, architectural knowledge has been passed down through generations. Over time, buildings were continually refined and increasingly adapted to people’s needs. Unfortunately, architecture has largely drifted away from this original guiding principle in the past century. My goal is to revive this foundational approach to architecture, reconnecting with traditional building methods as a source of new inspiration. Here, the focus isn’t on individual preferences but on the needs of the people using the spaces. Ultimately, good architecture can only truly work in harmony with the people who inhabit it.

Process

The focus of my projects is on universal, evolutionarily ingrained human needs that are present within all of us, regardless of culture or background. Scientific research reveals preferences for certain geometric shapes, color combinations, and the tendency to seek proximity to greenery or social environments. By using circular materials, a healthy atmosphere is created for both people and the environment. The outcome is simple, robust architecture that blends traditional building methods with modern technology.
